I am a philosopher and classicist. During the academic year I am a lecturer at Fordham University, and every summer I teach at the CUNY Latin/Greek Institute. For the 2020-2021 academic year I will also be a fellow at the UC National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.
Our lives are filled with ethical questions. My teaching and research are motivated above all by a concern for (i) how we should go about inquiring into such questions, and (ii) how our answers help us live better. For insight into these issues, I draw upon the phenomenological tradition and its origins in ancient philosophy.
